Spare Beam is an independent publication. It has no institutional affiliation, no editorial board and no commercial relationship with any organisation named in its notes.
Who publishes it
A single publisher, Spare Beam, operating from Brazil, writing in English about research on side income, platform earnings and related labour statistics. There is no office open to visitors and no telephone line; all correspondence is written and arrives at one address.
How topics are chosen
A note is written when four conditions hold at once. The study names its authors and appears somewhere locatable. Its design can be inspected. It measures something specific rather than describing a direction in general terms. And it states its own limits clearly enough that a summary can reproduce them without inventing any.
How sources are cited
Every number on this site comes from a named source and appears with its unit, its period and its population attached. Where two studies disagree, both are named in the same paragraph. Effect sizes from different studies are not averaged or pooled.
What this publication does not do
Spare Beam does not offer consultations, coaching or individual advice. It does not publish testimonials, reviews, success stories or before-and-after accounts. It does not promise any result.
How we advertise
Where Spare Beam is promoted through paid placements, every advertisement follows the same rules as the site: it describes the subject matter of the publication and nothing about the person seeing it; it is written in the third person about published research; its destination corresponds to it; it claims no outcome; it uses no urgency or scarcity framing; and it contains no testimonial.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place. A confirmed factual error produces an amended note and a dated correction at the foot of that note. Reports go to support@sparebeam.online with the page address and the passage in question.
